Sonya Balmores is an American famed star of the ABC Network's Sci-fiction based action TV series Inhumans, in which she played the lead role of Auran. She came into the limelight when she won the title of Miss Hawaii Teen USA on 16 May 2004 at the Waikiki Sheraton Resort. After won the title, she appeared in many popular magazines such as Foam magazines, Outside magazines, Women's Health, etc. Sonya began her acting career from the TV Series Rocky Point as Tattooed Girl in 2005. From 2006 to 2009, she was starred as Lanikai "˜Kai' Kealoha on the TeenNick's drama TV series Beyond the Break. She also appeared in the mystery and drama film Kuleana as Kimberly Coyle, which was released on 23 June 2017 in the USA. Recently, she also landed the lead role as Malia in the drama film Moonrise. Sonya Balmores was born on 23 June 1986 to parents Abraham Balmores and Malana DeSilva in Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii. Her father worked at Kiahuna Plantation and her mother was general manager of the Kauai Coconut Coast Resort. Her father is of Filipino descent and her mother is of American and Irish ancestry. Her full name is Sonya Balmores Chung. Sonya did her schooling at Kalaheo Elementary School and Kauai High School. She has been completed her graduation from the popular Hawaii Pacific University and has earned a degree in visual communications. She was married to Kanoa Chung. She moved to Los Angeles for acting purposes in TVs and Movies.
