Tate McRae Introduction

Tate Rosner McRae, born on July 1, 2003, is a Canadian artist known for her talents as a singer, songwriter, and dancer. She rose to fame as the first Canadian finalist on the American reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance in 2016. Her music career took off after the release of her debut single, “One Day,” in 2017, which garnered significant attention and led to her signing with RCA Records. McRae has since released two EPs: All the Things I Never Said (2020) and Too Young to Be Sad (2021). The latter became Spotify’s most-streamed female EP of 2021, featuring the hit single “You Broke Me First,” which achieved global success, reaching the top 10 on the Canadian Hot 100 and number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

In 2022, McRae unveiled her debut studio album, I Used to Think I Could Fly, which reached number 13 on the US Billboard 200. The album included the single “She’s All I Wanna Be,” which secured a spot in Canada’s top 10. Shifting toward a more pop-focused style, she released the single “Greedy,” which received widespread acclaim and commercial success, reaching number one in Canada and number three on the Billboard Hot 100. This track is featured on her second studio album, Think Later (2023), which achieved top-five rankings in multiple countries.
